The Australian and New Zealand Drupal community will come together for DrupalSouth 2026 in Wellington from 12–14 May 2026. This annual event is a key moment for the region’s Drupal community to connect, share knowledge, and explore the latest innovations shaping digital experiences.
Kicking off with Contribution Day, followed by two days of conference sessions, DrupalSouth offers a valuable opportunity to collaborate on Drupal core and contributed projects, hear from industry leaders, and engage with peers across development, design, and strategy.
Silver sponsors
Morpht is proud to continue supporting DrupalSouth as a Silver sponsor in 2026. Some of our team will be attending across the conference days, ready to connect, share insights, and talk about all things Drupal, AI, and digital transformation.
If you’re heading to Wellington, make sure to come and say hello. We’re looking forward to catching up with clients, partners, and the wider community.
Presentations
We have two presentations at the conference, covering building a site template for Drupal Marketplace and keeping your site secure with Cypress testing.
Building a Template for the Marketplace: Challenges and opportunities
The Drupal Marketplace is a new initiative enabling agencies to showcase reusable site templates built on best-practice patterns. These templates reflect key shifts in Drupal, including Drupal CMS, Canvas, Recipes, and Single Directory Components (SDCs).
In this session, Murray Woodman explores how the Drupal community needs to adapt to these evolving approaches, similar in scale to the transition to Drupal 8. The presentation helps site builders and developers quickly get up to speed on what’s changing, what to watch out for, and how to work effectively with these new patterns.

Secure and quality content - Automating moderation tests with Cypress
Government websites require rigorous checks to ensure content is accurate, secure, and ready for publication.
In this session, Marji Cermak demonstrates how automated end-to-end testing with Cypress can support complex content workflows. This includes handling logged-in sessions, moving content through approval processes, and validating access across user roles. The talk also introduces an open-source library from Morpht that simplifies test creation, helping teams quickly catch configuration issues and improve content reliability.
